Cathedral of the Immaculate Conception – Diocese of Lake Charles

Project Description

The Cathedral of Immaculate Conception in Lake Charles faced a significant challenge in the aftermath of Hurricanes Laura and Delta, which left its historical clay tile roof severely damaged by the relentless winds. Our firm was entrusted with the critical task of evaluating the extent of the damage and devising a comprehensive repair plan, which included the replacement of not only the roof but also the distinctive historical ridge caps, finials, and rake trims.

Leveraging cutting-edge technology proved to be invaluable for this project, especially considering the steep pitch and towering height of the main roof and steeple. Our utilization of drones provided essential aerial footage, allowing us to conduct a thorough assessment of the damage. High-resolution imagery captured the intricate architectural details of the structure, enabling us to meticulously recreate and preserve its unique historical elements.

This innovative approach, blending traditional craftsmanship with modern technology, ensures that the Cathedral of Immaculate Conception will not only be restored to its former glory but also strengthened to withstand future challenges. It stands as a testament to our commitment to preserving and safeguarding cherished historical landmarks in the face of adversity.
